What interface is d-sub

d-sub is an analog signal or digital signal interface; d-sub only describes the connection structure, itself does not define the entire interface or the role of all pins, its common is DB25 and DE9, the typical application on the personal computer is VGA, parallel port, COM serial port.

The VGA terminal (Video Graphics Array (VGA) connector, other names include RGB terminal, D-sub 15, or mini D15, is a 3-row, 15-pin DE-15. VGA terminals are typically on a computer’s graphics card, monitor, and other devices. Is used to send analog signals.

D-sub only describes the connection structure and does not define the function of the entire interface or all the pins. The most common are DB25 and DE9, and typical applications on PCs are VGA (DA15 female), parallel port (DB25 female), COM serial port (DE9 male), which are being replaced by DVI, HDMI, RJ45 Ethernet port and USB. DE9 was misinterpreted as DB9 after the popularization of personal computers, and over time DB9 became an alias for DE9, and the same is true for other D-subs of the number of pins, and now db is used relatively more.

DA-15

VGA, using a D-Sub 15 interface, has a total of 15 pinholes on it, divided into three rows of five in each row. CRT color display because of the design and manufacturing reasons, can only accept analog signal input, the most basic contains RGBHV (respectively, red, green, blue, row, field) 5 components, no matter what type of interface access, its signalits signal contains at least the above 5 compon
